Dr. Sikander Khan and Ms. Elisabeth Berg Khan
Our mission is to work with sustainable ecotourism projects from multiple perspectives, taking into account environmental, economic and social dimensions, based on renewable energy, fossil fuels free with net zero carbon emissions, where people live in harmony with nature in the shape of forests, mountains, rivers, glaciers, wetlands and wildlife, etc.
Our special focus is on green technologies, use of upcycled local waste resources to eliminate problems of waste disposal and landfills, creating jobs for young people and local communities in the field of ecotourism, waste/water and sewage treatment and the construction industry. Our mission is to treat waste as a resource that can be turned into an asset.
We believe in a participatory and inclusive approach to contribute to Agenda 2030 – leaving no one behind – and to achieving all 169 targets of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We have over 30 years of working experience in Asia and Europe. One of the founders of Peak Education, Dr. Sikander Khan, has been extensively working in Asia since 1977.
The other founder Mrs. Elisabeth Berg Khan, has been working with international development cooperation assistance for more than twenty years and spent several years in Asia.

Dr Khan has visited over 150 countries and speaks more than 10 languages.
Dr Khan has published over 55 papers and four books (translated into several languages) and has frequently lectured on these topics at universities and organizations worldwide (several hundred conferences and workshops).

Dr Sikander Khan obtained his PhD in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University (SBSSU). Dr Khan is a Senior Advisor to business enterprises, MNCs, United Nations, Government and top business schools, on sustainable green tech solutions with a focus on green ecotourist resorts, establishing hospitality academies, innovation and knowledge centers related to green technologies for ecotourism management and other building complexes with net zero carbon emissions. Elisabeth Berg Khan is presently working as a Program Manager specialist at Sida, (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) with special focus on cooperation with civil society organizations, innovation and doing development differently.

Elisabeth is an Economist and Social Scientist by background and has worked with Sida for many years in the field of cooperation with civil society organisations, communications and learning methods, Global Education, environmental issues and more recently innovation and partnerships.
She has also experience from working with the United Nations, UNWRA, with assistance to the Palestinian refugees in the Gaza strip, and as a short time consultant for UNIDO in Vietnam with an Investor’s Forum in Ho Chi Minh City.
One key interest of Elisabeth’s is to study companies’ performance and sustainable business behaviour from different stakeholders’ point of view. She participated in the research work on a comprehensive industrial survey of Foreign Companies’ Strategies in Japan and has carried out research on sustainable leadership in SMEs in China and Pakistan.
She has also guest lectured for MBA students on Corporate Social Responsibility in China.
